Earning sooner

What 2 extra years in work can mean

An MTTC diploma graduate can be in a full-time job about 2 years before a student on the foundation-and-degree route graduates. Move the slider to see what those months could add up to.

Could earn aboutRM72,000

An illustration only – before pay rises, EPF and tax. Actual salaries depend on the role and employer. Placement offers come from our industry partners to graduates who complete the programme and meet their requirements.

The best of both: diploma first, degree later

Start working sooner – and still earn a bachelor's degree with our university partners:

When a degree may suit you better

A degree may suit you better if you are sure you want to become a registered architect, go into academic research, or work in a field that requires a specific professional degree. Even then, a diploma can be a strong first step – our Interior Architecture diploma leads to SEGi University's BSc (Hons) Architecture, and our Digital Construction Technology diploma leads to Coventry University degrees in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying.

Is a diploma worth it in Malaysia?

For hands-on careers such as BIM, interior design, product design and digital advertising, employers value portfolios and software skills. A practical diploma gets you into the industry about 2 years earlier than the foundation-and-degree route, and you can still top up to a degree later.

Yes. MTTC College is a TVET college registered with JPK (Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources), and its diploma programmes are MQA accredited.

Can I get a degree after a diploma at MTTC?

Yes. Diploma graduates can continue to a bachelor's degree with SEGi University in Malaysia (about 24 months) or with Coventry University, UK, studied at PSB Academy in Singapore (about 16 months).

How much does a diploma at MTTC cost compared with a degree?

An MTTC Advanced Diploma costs About RM40,000 – RM45,000 in tuition for the whole programme. Private-university interior architecture degrees in Malaysia range from about RM41,000 to RM129,000 in tuition, plus a foundation year. Financial aid such as PTPK loans, education financing and EPF withdrawal is available.

Will I get a job after the diploma?

MTTC's industry partners have committed to placing our 2-year diploma graduates, with a minimum starting salary of RM3,000 a month, for graduates who complete the programme and meet the partner's requirements.
