JPK is the Department of Skills Development under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. The Department sets the National Occupational Skill Standards to be delivered through the board of industry panels.

MTTC is the accredited centre of JPK in the sector of Building & Construction (BC-050). All certificates and diplomas are issued by the Malaysian Government and it can be used worldwide. The courses under JPK is aided by its financial arm, Perbadanan Tabung Pembangunan Kemahiran (PTPK)* for the education loan purpose.

SMK University of Applied Sciences (SMK) is the largest private higher education institution in Lithuania, established in 1994. With campuses in Vilnius, Klaipėda, and Kaunas, SMK offers 23 study programs taught in English and Lithuanian, attracting over 4,500 domestic and international students.

The university maintains a strong network of over 200 partnerships with businesses and organizations, enhancing real-world learning opportunities.

The Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) is a Malaysian government agency under the Ministry of Human Resources. It oversees the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and plays a pivotal role in facilitating workforce upskilling and reskilling through various training initiatives. Employers registered with HRD Corp contribute a levy, which can be utilized to fund employee training programs aimed at enhancing productivity and competitiveness.

One of the avenues through which companies can leverage their HRD Corp levy is by enrolling employees in short courses offered by the Malaysia Technical Training College (MTTC). These courses are designed to provide practical skills and knowledge relevant to various industries.

Notably, HRD Corp has introduced an hourly-based claim structure, allowing for more flexible training durations and higher fee ceilings—up to RM1,500 per hour or RM10,500 per day.

Ts. Charlenne Ong is the founder and principal of Malaysia Technology Transformation & Creativity (MTTC) College, a leading private institution specializing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Science from Curtin University, Australia, and is a certified Autodesk AutoCAD professional. Additionally, she is a registered Professional Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Before establishing MTTC College, Ts. Ong gained practical experience in the architecture industry. Recognizing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, she transitioned into education to bridge the skills gap. Under her leadership, MTTC has become renowned for its hands-on, industry-aligned programs, particularly in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital construction technologies.

In response to Malaysia’s digital economy initiatives, MTTC expanded to Johor Bahru in 2024, aiming to supply skilled talent for the burgeoning data center and infrastructure sectors. Ts. Ong reported a 100% job placement rate for MTTC’s two-year diploma graduates, with many securing roles as BIM consultants and 3D modeling designers in both Malaysia and Singapore.

Beyond her administrative role, Ts. Ong actively participates in national education and design initiatives. She has been involved in the Future Design Star Award, encouraging students to engage with industry standards and global design trends . Her commitment to elevating TVET education and fostering industry-ready graduates has positioned MTTC College as a pivotal institution in Malaysia’s vocational education landscape.

Ir. Yau Chau Fong is a professional electrical engineer with over 24 years of experience in electrical engineering consultancy and data centre design and build. A graduate of the University of Malaya, he is an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) and was involved in certifying Malaysia’s first Tier III Data Centre.

He currently serves as Deputy President of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (2024–2026), and is a Board Member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia and Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia. Regionally and internationally, he holds leadership roles with AFEO and IEC, and is a recipient of the IEC 1906 Award 2024.

With a career spanning over five decades, he has contributed significantly to design, innovation, and higher education—serving as Vice-Chancellor of UCYP and CEO of KYP Education, as well as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at UiTM, UCSI University, and Sunway University. Specialising in visual branding, design thinking, and design management, he also held major national roles, including Chairman of the Malaysia Design Council (MOSTI) and member of the National Innovation Council. His leadership, scholarship, and industry impact continue to shape Malaysia’s creative, academic, and innovation landscape.

Assoc. Prof. Mohd. Azali bin Abd. Rahim, CIDe, is a distinguished industrial designer and academic whose contributions have significantly shaped Malaysia’s design and automotive landscape. As the designer of the first Proton Saga, Malaysia’s inaugural national car, he played a formative role in advancing national industrial capability through
design. His professional career includes leadership positions in research and development at Proton and INOKOM, alongside more than four decades of service in higher education.

He has contributed to curriculum development across Malaysian universities and supervised numerous postgraduate projects in design innovation and sustainability. A Certified Industrial Designer (CIDe) of the Malaysia Design Council and long-serving Jury member of the Malaysian Good Design Award, he continues to influence national design standards, policy discourse, and professional practice.
